Alas Purwo National Park – Alas Purwo means “first forest “, it is located in Tegal dlimo district, Banyuwangi Regency, East Java, Indonesia. Sadengan Savana

Alas Purwo National Park has a green savana called Sadengan which wide stretches and it can spoil of the eyes of visitors.  This savana has an area of approximately 80 hectares and it is 2 km from Rowobendo post. You can enjoy the natural scenery in savana complate with many wild animals such us herds of bull, deer, Peacock and many others that live in Savana

Giri salaka Temple and Kawitan Site

Giri salaka temple and Kawitan site is located in middle of the forest. According the history, This temple is known the relics of the Majapahit Kingdom which was discovered in 1967 by residents of Alas Purwo. This temple was used for religious activities starting in 1968 such us as the pagerwesi Ceremony and to day many hindus people not only from Banyuwangi but also from Bali use the temple for worship activities.

Gua Istana ( palace Cave)

Alas purwo has also many Cave because it is located in a karst area. There are around 50 caves in this area. One of the most popular Cave is  Gua istana Cave and many people make visit this Cave for holidays and some people stay in this Cave for medition. The other Cave are Padepokan Cave, Mayang cave, elephant cave, Haji cave,Lowo Cave, Basory cave and many others

Bamboo Forest

Bamboo forest is the route for visitors going to caves in Alas Purwo National Park and it is be favorit spot for travellers to take pictures with peaceful place and beautifull natural Atmosphere.

Plengkung Beach

Plengkung beach is part of the beach in  Alas Purwo National park that has big waves. There are many tourist making holiday in Plengkung beach for playing surfing and the international surfing competition held on this beach every year.
